Latest K-pop sensations P1Harmony return to the scene with the release of a six-track mini-album, HARMONY : ZERO IN, accompanied by a brand new music video for “Doom Du Doom.” All this follows the band’s comedic entry into late-night television, a recent music collaboration with R&B sweetheart Pink Sweat$, and a successful US headlining tour that sold out in less than thirty minutes.
The New Album
HARMONY : ZERO IN incorporates the band’s signature harmonizing and captivating raps while playing with a fresh sound. Opening track “Black Hole” captures an edgier vibe, while tracks like “Different Song For Me” showcase a more raw and emotional side of the boys. The six-piece boy group, who sing, co-write their lyrics, and are famed for their choreography, prove their undeniable coolness and confidence in “Yes Man” and the track aptly named “Swagger.”
The album is an engaging, versatile delight, with a blend of rock and folksier-sounding guitars in “Doom Du Doom,” fun chanting and intense rapping in “Black Hole,” a flute-driven bop in “Yes Man,” a jazzy vibe in “Swagger,” and the ultimate stunner: “Mirror Mirror,” which conveys a message of confidence and self-worth in the most vocally impressive way possible. The album ends with “Different Song For Me,” a guitar-based jam that ends things on a lighter note. Overall, HARMONY : ZERO IN has layers, each one worth appreciating and each one showing this group’s star power.
The Music Video
The playful “Doom Du Doom” video features the band as award-winning, not-so-typical athletes in a futuristic sporting competition, showcasing their impressive moves and a new signature dance. The mini-album marks both the beginning of the band’s “Harmony” series and the official end of their “Disharmony” one.
A Message from the Group
Member KEEHO issued the following statement about this comeback:
“This album is about freedom and individuality, how we are going to go about living in this new world we created for ourselves, the new rules we are going to make, how we’re going to live amongst each other, and how to live in harmony. We’re experimenting with a new genre and new style, so we hope that our P1eces (fans) will like it. It’s going to be fun to watch and see P1Harmony in a new setting and atmosphere. We hope you like it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
