NEWS: Republic Records Announces Expansion of Historic Alliance with JYP Entertainment

The news was made official February 10th: Republic Records is expanding their partnership with JYP Entertainment to further assist in the global promotion of TWICE, ITZY, and Stray Kids! An official press release hints at big announcements coming in the near future related to this news. This announcement might not only pertain to music, since Republic Records launched Federal Films to expand their list of production credits. Republic Records produced the Jonas Brothers’ Chasing Happiness and Ariana Grande’s Excuse Me, I Love You, and they have numerous projects on the way, including They Cloned Tyrone and The Hating Game.
Republic Records is home to a mind-boggling amount of artists, including Ariana Grande, Conan Gray, Daddy Yankee, Drake, John Legend, Kid Cudi, Kim Petras, Lil Wayne, Lorde, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and more! The company plans to help TWICE, ITZY, and Stray Kids leave a comparable global impact, especially with the subsidiary Imperial. Imperial focuses on emerging artists and assists with album distribution, with the help of Ingrooves Music Group.
JYP Entertainment CEO Jimmy Jeong issued the following statement: “We are beyond delighted to move forward with Republic Records, the most outstanding label in the United States, in developing the major artist roster of the two companies… starting with the successful kickoff TWICE has brought.
