12 Things to Know About P1Harmony’s “P1ustage H : P1ONEER” Tour!
Here are some details P1Harmony revealed about their 2023 U.S. tour during a private press conference!
#1: Expect a “you had to be there” situation
The group confirmed to me that the stories they will bring to the stage will be totally different from what they bring to the screen! Rather than implementing aspects of their music videos into the live show, they will treat the latter as its own entity, offering a new vibe that simply cannot be replicated by just watching their videos!
#2: This will be their most fun show yet!
The group asserts they have improved massively in terms of not just performance skills, but also the ability to have fun in a “cool way,” bringing swagger to the stage while staying playful!
#3: The setlist
P1Harmony revealed some of their setlist when asked which songs they are the most excited to perform live: “Black Hole,” “End It,” “Do It Like This,” “Look At Me Now,” and an undisclosed opening number.
#4: Interactive elements
The members cited three songs in particular during which they want the crowd to get involved: “Scared,” “Follow Me,” and “Do It Like This.” They hope for many back-and-forth exchanges when they take turns dancing, singing, and chanting with the fans!
#5: Preparation
While the members admitted they wished they’d had more rehearsal time, they have noticed significant performance growth compared to how they viewed themselves during the last tour’s rehearsals. They prepared for the new tour by re-watching clips from past shows and learning from past mistakes.
#6: Extra love for certain cities
The group enthusiastically shared their hopes for exploring the cities on this tour they previously didn’t get to, including Oakland, California, Nashville, Tennessee, and Reading, Pennsylvania. They also gave a shoutout to Chicago and said the fans there have a unique vibe that matches the vibrant city’s energy!
#7: Lots of remixes
The group promised to put a new spin on their classics, performing remixes of their hit songs and even some new choreography! They repeatedly stressed during the press conference how much they want to make this show different from their previous ones.
#8: Big thanks to THEO
THEO confirmed his heavy involvement in every aspect of this tour, from planning the setlist to brainstorming ways to make old performances feel new again.
#9: The tour’s title
When asked about the significance of using the word “P1ONEER” in the tour’s name, the group shared their desire to bring to life the message of charting one’s own path forward. They specifically mentioned how the lyrics to “Follow Me” align with what they want this tour to represent.
#10: Where to next?
When asked where their dream destinations for future concerts are, the group cited France (specifically for its nice architecture), Canada, and New Zealand. They also expressed the desire to return to Sydney, Australia, having made fond memories there. Lastly, they brought up that many comments left on P1Harmony’s social media posts are in Spanish, so they want to perform in more Spanish-speaking countries in the future.
#11: Personal growth
The final question of the press event was about times when stepping out of their comfort zones paid off. JONGSEOB recalled his time on reality survival shows and how landing first place reminded him that great challenges come with great rewards. The other members talked about challenging themselves to open up and write songs with other people; they have seen this collaboration as an important source of growth and have loved the results of putting themselves out there.
#12: The bottom line
The main point the members emphasized throughout the press conference: they want the “P1ustage H : P1ONEER” tour to be nothing but an energetic, stress-relieving, and special memory for fans!
